Another award for the team of Pentachron EOOD. Second place in the competition for a conceptual architectural design for pedestrian overpasses over the Sofia Ring Road organized by Sofia Municipality Direction: “Architecture and Urban Planning”.
The winner of the competition for the development of a conceptual design for the construction of pedestrian overpasses over the Sofia Ring Road is the team of Ircon Ltd. Their project was ranked first by a jury composed of representatives of the Chamber of Architects in Bulgaria, the Union of Architects in Bulgaria, the Chamber of Engineers in Investment Design, Road Infrastructure Agency and Sofia Municipality. Our project is ranked second   of Pentachron EOOD, and the third – the association with participants arch. Plamen Gekov, eng. Dragomir Karabelov and eng. Anka Yancheva.

The main goal of the competition was to choose a design solution for the construction of pedestrian overpasses, ensuring free and safe crossing by pedestrians, incl. mothers with prams, elderly people and people with disabilities, above the Sofia Ring Road in the sections to be built. In addition to the conditions for conflict-free pedestrian traffic through the Sofia Ring Road, the jury also assessed the achievement of a modern and adequate architectural image, which would lead to a favorable aesthetic impact and achieve a harmonious unity with  the surrounding landscape, as well as the economic feasibility of design solutions guaranteeing minimum operating costs.
